The objective of the Company is to seek to achieve superior returns, focusing on an equity event-driven investment strategy. In pursuing this strategy the Company expects to invest in long-term event based value investments. The Investment Manager will seek to achieve the objective by investing in small and micro-cap companies with a geographical focus on the UK, but may also invest substantial parts of its assets outside its core market. The Company expects to invest mainly in listed stocks such as on the UK AIM segment, but may selectively invest in private companies, derivative instruments as well a credit instruments. Investments in private companies, predominately Pre-IPO situations, Public-to-Private transactions and other Private Placements are an active part of the investment strategy. The Company will focus on a relatively small number of holdings and will hold a portfolio of typically fewer than 20 positions at any time.
